The Isetta in film and television

The Isetta has played a part in a number of films (virtually all comedies) that I have seen. But for the life of me I can’t remember a one. I’m sure most, if not all, were in the 50s, 60s and 70s, but as I said, I can’t remember them. Can anyone help by recalling any for me?

Thanks

In Bedazzled, the first one with Peter Cook, I’m pretty sure that Eleanor Bron’s boyfriend picks her up after work in one of the front-opening models, at the beginning of the movie.

I bet it is. I will look for it next time I watch it. Thanks.

It was Terry-Thomas’ car in The Naked Truth. Drove it all through the movie.

Yes, it was indeed an Isetta in Bedazzled. Check out the Internet Movie Cars Database. They’ve got listings for a bunch of movies with Isettas in them.

Steve Urkel drove an Isseta on Family Matters.

Santos: thanks for that link. I’ve been thinking for years that a site just like that was needed.

Not quite related, but you might like this.

The Wikipedia entry you linked to says that Fred Astaire drove one in Funny Face.

the Sega Dreamcast game Daytona USA has a three-wheeled Isetta type car they call the “Pywachet Varcheta”, somehow it holds it’s own quite well with the big, heavy stock-cars in the game
