I finally got bored enough with the design of my web site (The J Train) to start re-building it from the ground up. Only the About section and the Internal Monologue (which I’m not changing) are working for now, but the design is in place. I’ll be getting the rest of the content back up over the next couple of weeks.

I’m still a hack at this whole web design thing, so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Shouldn’t that blue be a little, well, darker? Seems to be more Carolina blue then Kentucky blue. :smiley:

Interesting website, DoctorJ. I like how you have things set up. I agree with brianjedi in that it is clean looking, and easy to navigate. That’s pretty much one of the main parts of a website, so…

DoctorJ, about the only thing I would initially suggest is that you remove the spaces (showing up as %20) in your image names.
Ulitimately they are going to cause you grief.
Use an underscore _ if you want to keep the letters separate, but avoid spaces.

Thanks. Now that you mention it, I’ve had problems with that before. Not too tough to fix now.

I’m at work looking at it at 800x600, and the homepage is a little bit bigger vertically than I wanted it to be; I think that if I take out some space at the top, it’ll be better.

Well, Doc, I don’t know a damn thing about putting together a website, but I know a good writer and story-teller when I see one, and I just saw one. I’m usually not much interested in things medical, except to see how much I can make my doctor laugh. (He was a challenge for a long while, but I think I’ve broken him down. The last time I left him, he was giggling and grinning while he was attempting to prepare for his next patient. I figure with his job he deserves a laugh once in a while).
I,ah,oh yeah, your website…
It’s a keeper. I marked it and I’ll check it periodically.
