Am I the only one who has “baptismal garment” for the hope chest? Where I’m from, the tradition is that the parents save a little girl’s baptismal garment, and then part of that is used to make a part of her First Communion dress, and then part of both of those are used to make a part of her wedding dress (it’s typically only an incidental piece like a scarf or a veil).
I’ve never heard of a hope chest so I just picked what seemed like the most common thing in the Wikipedia article. I bet many people did the same.
It would make for an interesting feud to ask questions about really obscure subjects. I bet most of us would head for wikipedia and end up giving whatever answer was most obviously suggested by the article there. We’d probably end up seeing the highest scores from the people who knew the least.
