The Nazis struggled to gain traction for most of the 1920s, but they capitalized on a financial crisis. The same can happen here, and with climate change likely to cause major disruption in the years ahead, I worry that fascists here will have a crisis they can readily exploit. Even without climate change, the growing polarization and political dysfunction can have consequences that could develop into a financial or political crisis.

Well, “Justice” is also receiving the punishment they deserve for violating the law, so I’m actually okay with advocating for “justice for these protestors”.
