Remember that obnoxiously precocious kid from “The Toy” with Richard Pryor (1982)?
While watching VH1’s “I Love the 80’s Strikes Back” this weekend, I found out that he’s a porn star now!?!? Well, according to his IMDB bio, he left the industry in 2000. But the show had clips of some of his work… Oh my God! It was so… gross!
Nameless, faceless porn stars: Fine
Former child actor porn stars: Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
Could be worse: he could be Todd Bridges.
(I actually forgot Todd’s name before this post & asked a coworker to remind me of what it was. The response was, “Why? Is he in trouble again?”)

Didn’t he only do non-sexual scenes? At least at the time the E True Hollywood story was made that was the case.
Golly, he coulda just changed his name and nobody woulda known…

The clips I saw were most decidedly of a sexual nature.
No bughunter, you see, that’s what so scary. In the clips, he was still recognizable as the kid.

According to the Internet Adult Film Database he’s been in 19 adult movies, but only ‘perfromed’ so to speak in 2 of them.
If I remember correctly, there was an E-True Hollywood story about him. Apparently after his 15 minutes were up no one would talk to him except for some friends he made at parties that were in the porn trade. After he realized he most likely wouldn’t work again, he took a few roles in porn to get some money. Eventually he decided to “go all the way” to less than spectacular results on film. That was a few years ago.
I must admit, he seems much more together than alot of other former child stars.
He was also the kid who put his tongue on a lamp-post in the middle of winter in A Christmas Story
Now, there’s the makings of a porn star!

I must say, I don’t remember him all that well from “A Christmas Story” and I don’t think I’ve seen “The Toy.” But my curiosity got the best of me so I had to find out what he looked like now.

I can’t believe no one has said it yet but if I remember the movie correctly then the little boy’s last name was Bates and he was always announced by his servants as Master Bates!
