So Jared Kushner wants to prove his is just as big as his FIL’s… have a glass dildo, New York!
EFFING AUTOCORRECT… that is supposed to be “Kushner dildo building.”

All skyscrapers look dreary.
I daresay the Empire State was denounced as phallic when it emerged from the ooze.
And in London there’s a ghastly ‘Gherkin’; what does that say about it’s ridiculous architect, Norman Foster ?
What’s the make and model of your device that autocorrects “Kushner dildo” to “Kuznetsova dolls”? I either want to avoid it or buy one for the lolz
It really is sort of a stereotypical canard (redundant much?) that a young lady would marry a man with similar qualities as her father. In this case it’s a need for displaying ostentatious erections.
Okay, "Kuznetsova dolls" brings up some creepy-ass google images.
SwiftKey on a Samsung tablet.
I’ve used Swype on my Note II for years and with a little bit of mutual training I became very fast and fluid on the glass, with only rare instances of having to correct more than one or two things in a message.
I have battled and battled keyboards on the new tablet - not only is the accuracy abysmal, but the logic defies logic, and once the prediction chooses a word set, it’s impossible to back up to something correct except through total erasure. And then, if I’m not paying attention, when I move to the next line, it will apply its own corrections even though I okayed the “wrong” words one by one.
And the predictions! It’s like a really obscure Word-A-Day calendar for philologists. I get words I haven’t seen in decades, so obscure I can’t believe they’re in a modern-mobile dictionary and ridiculous for coming to the top in the predictions. (Although having it suggest “vodka” when I swiped “blackout” makes a certain sense.)
Didn’t see that ridiculous corrected subject until I’d posted. But it wasn’t that while I was composing the post, either.
What’s wrong with the Gherkin? I think it’s quite a nice building. Elegant even.
About Foster, I don’t know, but as I first said when I heard the nickname “you Brits are So Polite!”
Its cousin in Barcelona is known as the suppository.
Which completely explains why SwiftKey jumped right to those terms.
There’s a smaller version in Vigo, Spain, too. I saw all three on a trip a few years ago.
Eh, I didn’t get “dildo” out of it. Between the change in visual texture halfway up, it looked to me more like a short lightsaber or a giant egg whisk.
I mean, I get it: long cylindrical object = phallic but it doesn’t jump out like that to me.
I don’t like that one so much - it’s a bit more organic a shape, and that does look weird to me - but that’s probably just lack of familiarity.
Every skyscraper can be interpreted as a phallic symbol. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar though.
It’s the most dildo-looking building I think I’ve ever seen. All the more it needs is pink glass and periodic steam releases from its tip.
Yeah, there is a finite number of practical, useful shapes for “tall building with small footprint” (including “[paperclip](Oiio imagines The Big Bend skyscraper for New York as "the longest building in the world" world/).”) Lots of especially tall, skinny buildings in the works or already completed (some more rounded, some more blocky.)
And the proportionately tall, cylindrical building style that tapers from the base and has a rounded or conical tip is inescapably phallic, whereas even the new FU building - 660 Riverside or whatever that giant middle finger is - slim, square-edged, flat-topped… is not.
That paperclip is neat, but isn’t it a big waste of space?
Gives it room to be bent into many different configurations.
Shoot, I was hoping it was like a Matryoshka Dolls building where, when the building eventually fell down, you’d find a smaller building inside of it. And then, inside of that one there’s a smaller building and so on until, finally, there’s just a little Pup’n’Taco or something.
Ivanka should erect a building that looks like this.
