I read somewhere they introduce poor grammar and misspellings on purpose - that makes the person being scammed feel superior to them ‘stupid furriners’ so they are less likely to consider they are being scammed.

I don’t know if it’s true or not, but it seems plausible to me.

Anyway I agree with what ArrMatey! said - they are quite clever if nothing else.

I am sort-of impressed with the thought process behind this, though. Who’s going to answer it? Why, people who have already fallen for internet scams at least once. They’re sort-of going for a repeat business model for internet scams.

It’s true. They’ve targeted their pitch to people who are definitely gullible enough to fall for it once.
