The lampshade that drives its owners insane

Click. Holy shit! I thought that sort of stuff was a myth.

Tsk. All DNA is made from nucleotides. The word the reporter’s looking for is ‘nuclear’.

And I want to see a pic.

Sounds like something that has shelf space in Warehouse 13

Warehouse 23?

I got one of those from a friend originally from Plainfield as a birthday gift. It hasn’t driven me insane. I wish she would have parted with the leather chair, but that was a relative.

That article was linked to by choie about a week ago, in a continuing thread about Cecil’s column Did the Nazis make lampshades out of human skin?

Well, it kinda still is. That is, the “myth” is that the Nazi’s somehow made dozens-hundreds of these lampshade(as well as making soap out of humans). While there are no doubt some examples made by a few individuals who were Nazi’s, there has been no convincing evidence of anything larger. Also, the human skin may have been mostly tattooed non-Jews.

Wow. That’s disturbing. There’s no way I could handle owning something like that.

To be honest they could have made thousands of lamp shades if they wanted. Only a few sick individuals would have wanted them, which is what the SS seemed to be comprised of.
