The Language of Progression

Could there be a connection between the syntax of a country’s language and its overall progression?

For example: Say that the time it takes to speak German sentences are typically longer than English sentences. This time must add up.

Would/did speakers of a quicker language progress faster than those of a more drawn-out language?

Is there any evidence of history in the world that exhibits this connection?

Could we find connections between the number of wars a language has had and the properties of that language?
