The Last Man Drafted

Many websited (including the Selective Service System’s) say:
“The last man inducted entered the Army on June 30, 1973”.
I can’t seem to find out anything about this guy. Who was he, what happened to him, and how did he feel about this distinction?

Theoretically, he could have stayed in and retired from the Army in 1993.

And from another site (slightly different spelling):

It’s been 28 years since Dwight Elliott Stone, then a 24-year-old apprentice plumber from Sacramento, Calif., reluctantly became America’s “last draftee.”

The only other info turned was that he was discharged in November 1974.
