The liberal media ignores terrorist attack

Page 2… pffft! And I bet it was BELOW the fold, newspaper Siberia.

This.

And I don’t care if nobody was injured. This should have been front-page news for at least that day.

And really ignores a terrorist bombing of NAACP HQ in Colorado.

Two views of bad behavior. The first when it wasn’t known the bad guy was a cop, the second after.

NY Daily News

I still don’t know who I should be angry at.

A couple of points:
As has been pointed out, the NAACP bombing was a day earlier. Slow news day. Still didn’t make it.

The shooting in Paris was Muslim terrah-ists! The bombing in Colorado was probably domestic right-wing terrorists. More in the mold of hero outlaws like Clive Bundy and Eric Rudolph.

Both those point to a Fox-News view of the world bias.

And if you think the ‘might have been an act of terrorism’ means there’s any real chance it wasn’t, you’re more naive than the late Earl Warren. A detonator strapped to a gas can, outside the NAACP office, is not just vandalism.

You can argue it’s a stupid point (as many here are), but the point is obvious, yes. He’s using a right wing frame to complain about something affecting an organization on the left so as to point out supposed hypocrisy and bias in news reporting. What more does he need? More exclamation points? Smilies? If anything, he went over the top when he accused Fox of being in on the liberal conspiracy. He probably wrote that part thinking that would clue anyone in who was confused up to that point.

I don’t know, maybe a mention on the evening news.

What about you, if a bomb was found at the office of a controversial national political group that had for failed to go off for a technical reason, when would you expect to hear about it? Do you think that incompetent terrorists are not terrorists? If I attached an M80 to a can containing several gallons of gasoline and placed it next to the office of a controversial political group, you don’t think I would be charged with or convicted of terrorism related charges if caught?

Thank you marshmallow, that is exactly what I was intending. In retrospect it looks weak to me and I openly admit my failure at being witty or even making my point. In my defense, I had expected most dopers to share our intelligence and insight.

I’m just quoting for the OP’s own link, which says the police are still trying to figure out what the motive was. But hows about we all wait until the official report is out before we purport to “know” what it was, even if odds are in favor of it being so?

And since the OP is not too good at satire, perhaps he can lay out, in plain English, exactly what his point is.

I think you are supposed to be angry at the terrorists. Or maybe the left-wing media. Or maybe you are supposed to be angry at me. I don’t know, take your pick.

What, you think I work for the onion? Dammit John, I’m an engineer, not a comedian!

The police may not know exactly what the bombers were upset about, but I think it’s safe to say they had bad enough intentions for this to be newsworthy. Unless you think that maybe this was a poorly planned demolition operation or something.

But they blew up the barber shop! That is not cool man. Now where am I supposed to hang out and get my fade on.

Well, drink some of that Grrrreen stuff, laddie. It’ll loosen your thinking some!

THIS IS A FOX NEWS ALERT!! THIS IS A FOX NEWS ALERT!!
We now go to Sarah Palin for comment:
“This is an attack on our freedoms, our liberty, and our way of life! The time is now to stand up and fight!!”
Oh look, another FOX NEWS ALERT!!
Our Fox News Poll shows that 95% of viewers think it’s Obama’s fault while 85% think he had a direct hand in it.
No comment as yet from the White House (tsk, tsk)

A scorched wall and representative of the NAACP office said it’s important not to overreact until more is known.

It’s Colorado. If you’re pro-gun laws you’ll probably get bombed or shot too. Heck, you might get shot up for going to a Batman movie.

No need for the country to go to DEFCON 1.

Could’ve been a bowling dispute.

Are date and time stamps available to show social media was first with the story ahead of traditional media?
