The liberal media ignores terrorist attack

I am so sick of the liberal bias of the media in this country! There was a terrorist attack on a national political organization office fighting for the rights of American Citizens in Colorado Springs and the damn liberal media completely ignored it and tried to bury it in the news cycle. The only way that anybody heard about it was because social media went viral and spread the news.

I’m really disappointed; fair and balanced Fox news did not even cover it. I’m convinced they are run by the same liberal cabal as msnbc and the others. You can bet if it was a group that those liberal democrats cared about, it would have been covered in the media.

Are you accusing CNN of not being part of the liberal media? I thought that they were supposed to be the poster child for it.

I’m assuming that this is some kind of bullshit post, as there is, in fact, more important news happening today.

ETA: Not your bullshit post, AHarris, the OP’s.

ETA2: Not that your post was bullshit. The OP’s was, maybe.

Or ABC News or Newsweek or The Washington Post. Yeah, damn liberal media.

Guys?
Whooosh!

The group attacked, (as reported by every major news organization–including Faux), was the NAACP.

(Of course, if the OP was not a gag, it makes the poster the number one candidate for idiot of the year, so far. Although I would not want to taunt Happy Fun Ball.)

Is it a whoosh? I read the link in the OP.

A homemade explosive went off in front of the NCAAP office in Colorado Springs. No one was injured.

Frankly, on the slowest of news days I wouldn’t expect this to be news outside Colorado. Today is not the slowest of news days.

I don’t know the OP’s intent.

Not until more than 24 hours after the attack. That’s the point. It was not covered by any news outlets until it went viral on twitter.

Wait, you’re serious? You expect a homemade bomb with no casualties and minimal property damage to receive instant nationwide coverage?

In retrospect, my attempt to be cute and ironic with the OP was pretty lame, but the fact remains that somebody bombed a NAACP office and no media outlets covered it until it had gone viral on twitter and 24 hours had passed. This is in contrast to the belief of many in this country that media has a liberal bias.

Whatever.

I bet if it was a tea party office it would have gotten immediate coverage.

Again, whatever, I was posting in a free moment from my phone in an attempt to be funny in pointing out the hypocrisy of the world. It was lame. Whatever.

Whatever.

I’d guess it was a case of ‘didn’t bleed - didn’t lead.’

Ah, yes, just like my Mom used to make. Hers didn’t go off very well either. Her meat loaf, on the other hand, caused many a detonation.

My mom’s cooking never went off. With ten kids at the dinner table, it didn’t really get time to.

Don’t worry OP, it was glaringly obvious what you were going for.

It was?

Well, I’m one of the folks around here who doesn’t buy into the “media has a liberal bias meme”, but if you think you just disproved that meme then you’re sorely mistaken. You might note that most of the media attention yesterday was focused on an actual deadly terror attack in France where 11 people were killed, and the perps were yet to be captured.

You might even note that your own link stated, in the headline, that this event might have been an act of terrorism, not that it was one.

OP failure out of the gate.

It makes me think you think the media is actually about reporting news. Nope. It makes total sense to me that they didn’t report it until after it got to Twitter. The media is a money-making business like any other, and they reported it when they saw there was interest, and thus, money to be made.

I know that the news cycle yesterday was consumed by the events in Paris and rightly so. The failed bombing at the the NAACP offices happened in the morning of the day before.

So what time of day on Tuesday would you have expected to see a minor explosion in Colorado Springs that occurred at 11am, caused no injury, minor property damage, and may or may not be an act of domestic terrorism splashed all over the national news?

By the way, I got all that information from an article on page 2 of the Dayton Daily News this morning.
