Has anyone else read the mind-blowing book written by Howard Bloom titled “The Lucifer Principal”. If not I suggest you give it a read. If you have read it I suggest now as a good time to re-read it.
The book is the author’s attempt to come up with the biological source of evil throughout history. It is a tough read, due to all the talk of the evil things that have gone on, but his theories of group psychology and the powers of meme’s is wild.
I think now is a good time to bring this up because I fear our country is going to fall into a classic us-them type of scenario, as described in the book. When this happens, things that people would normally find to be unacceptable (murder, destruction, torture), become acceptable as long as it’s to the THEM and not to the US. This type of behavior is counter-productive and only breeds more hatred and violence.
Current events aside, I find this author to be brilliant. I have read part of his other book “The Global Brain” and it is just as interesting. Anyone else here read any of his stuff? What did you think?
