The (Lucky) 13th Annual Steelers March to the Super Bowl Thread

Awesome, this has become the worst thread ever. And Grsz11 has got to be the worst of the Steelers fans, which is saying something.

Maybe Ben will get a high/low hit next week that literally tears him in half. Keep the drama going.

Why? For pointing out the utter nonsense in many of the arguments made by you Bengals fans?

Look, I have a lot of problems with some Steelers past and present. (I know family of Harrison’s baby mama). But all we have heard from Bengals fans on this thread is playing the victim, crying racism, and not once address the simple fact that if you hadn’t fumbled you would have won.

Ahem. No, that’s not really true. FGIE [quoted another post that had a footnote that] mentioned race, which I don’t really understand because I thought the racial make up of teams was pretty consistent within each sport, but there’s probably some point that I am missing.

But still, no, you’ve brought up race three time that I can see, and no-one else is playing.

(Is “thug” a dog-whistle in sports?)

Those were all in response to FGIE. He perpetuated some racial bias by copying it here.

I’m not sure what would be appropriate for this forum, but I’m not a big fan of your posting style. I’m guessing I would find your posting style similarly unpleasant in other threads, but I’ve only seen you here.

Thanks! If I valued the opinion of an anonymous internet user I would be truly touched.

You know what’s funny, Ben came out and said he didn’t think Burfict was trying to hurt him. Contrast that with the cries of faking by Jones and you see the difference. I don’t know if he will play, the problem is if he does its very likely he would only worsen his injury making it even harder the next week if it came to that.

Not to worry, your lack of caring that people think positively about you definitely comes across.

If it means anything, I don’t have any problem with you!

The count is still 3 to 1. There is no vast crowd of Bengals fans claiming racism in this thread. Just you accusing them of it.

Antonio Brown is now officially ruled out. Faking it, indeed. I can’t wait to see what kind of bullshit FGIE makes up now.

The independent doctors are just in on it too!

So is Jones going to apologize? Somehow I find that unlikely.

Of course not. After Pacman caught him out, Brown went and got himself a real concussion after the fact so he wouldn’t have to admit anything.

Obviously.

Who the fuck cares what Jones does or doesn’t do or say? We all (with a few notable exceptions) already know that he is a whiner, entirely removed from rationality, who will always look for someone else to blame for his shortcomings. For a little while, entirely too large a chunk of the Bengals’ fan base whined along with him, but hopefully that’s now over. The idea that Jones’ opinion carries any weight is ridiculous.

As to Sunday, it’s going to take a series of miracles to get past the Broncos, and I’m afraid we’ve used up our allotment already (the Bills coming through, foremost). Hope springs eternal, though, and my lucky shirt is clean…

Hundreds of thousands of Steeler fans who need to be able to point out that there are NFL players and coaches who are as bad as their players so they can feel better about themselves.

Everyone knows that posting in threads means you care very deeply about things.

For myself, I’m far more interested in FoieGrasIsEvil’s response than Pacman Jones’s.

(Also for the record, I’m a Patriots fan and have absolutely no use for the Steelers.)

Wait… you washed your lucky shirt? We’re fucked. But you don’t have to shoulder all the blame, I forgot to wear the Steelers sweatshirt that I wore last Friday.

Apparently, yes.

Joey Porter and Mike Muncheck were both fined for their actions in last Sunday’s game. But don’t worry, Adam Jones and Vontaze Burfict are assholes so it’s all good.
