The Magikally Flipping Taskbar

There must be some quick and easy fix for this, since inadvertently hitting something on the computer keyboard got it out of whack in the first place.

The taskbar that normally resides in horizontal fashion at the bottom of the page, whether or not you’re in a browser (and which includes the Start button and shotcuts to various applications), somehow got sproinged up to the right hand side of the page at a 90-degree angle to where it used to be.

Everything that I could access before can be accessed now, but it is distracting having it sit out on the right and I want to restore it to where it used to be, at the bottom of the page.

Is there a simple process by which I can get the genie back into the horizontal bottle?

Thanks.

What are you using? Vista, or XP? If it’s XP, click on blank space in the taskbar, and hold down your mouse. Then move your mouse to the bottom of the screen and let go of the button. The taskbar should be moved back to the bottom.

Even if it’s Vista or 7, the same process works.

Once you’ve moved your taskbar back where you want it, right-click on it, and select “Lock Taskbar” from the context menu to prevent it a wanderin’ again.

(Not 100% sure if it is called “Lock Taskbar” because I’m on a Mac, but it’ll be something like that).

The taskbar is back where it belongs and I’ve locked it.

Thanks to all.
