I personally am glad that there has been very little blame tossed around on the issue of whether 9/11 could have been “prevented.” Such blame would only warp a tragic event into a political battleground, which I think is something that nobody wants to see.
There are lessons to be learned from the attacks, and while I don’t feel the Bush administration is addressing all of those lessons, I do think that others are. I’d rather see those lessons learned and used to make improvements for the future than see time and effort wasted on casting blame towards scapegoats.
