The Martini Dispenser I Cannot Find

I have a martini dispenser that is great for pre-chilling my gin martinis. I just pour my gin and a whisper of dry vermouth into the glass dispenser and then put it in the fridge.

I like it so much that I want another. But I can’t find one anywhere. It was given to me by my father-in-law who has since passed on, so I have no clue from where it came.

Let me describe it. It’s a long slender smooth glass base about the width of a mason jar and twice as tall. It has a very slight (almost unnoticeable) taper. It holds about 500ml.

The glass base is threaded at the top. It has a hard plastic screw-on top with a small spout that also screws on.

I’ve tried 20 or more different versions of google keywords like “glass martini screwtop shaker dispenser” to no avail.

Most of the results show typically shaped martini shakers with compression lids and screw-top spouts.

Don’t let me down Dopers. I know one of you has one of these and knows where can get another

Are you sure it’s marketed as a martini dispenser? Maybe your father-in-law bought some other kitchen gadget and gave it to you to be used as a martini dispenser. Try searching for glass cocktail or drink dispensers.

Nope, not sure at all. I’ve tried variations of drink, cocktail, and even water on Google but to no avail.

I’m not at all surprised that I can’t find it. It’s probably 25 years old.

What I’m bummed about is that I can’t even find anything that its functionally similar.

I want to be able to pour the liquor in through a big hole and pour it out through a small hole. And not worry about it popping open, hence the screw top lids.

Is it anything like the last one listed here?

Edit: What about it makes you describe it as a “dispenser”?

Maybe something like these?

Google “drink dispenser”

garygnu’s is the closest to what I’m looking for.

Except mine is larger at the bottom and just slightly tapered smaller at the top.

The big exception is that mine has a screw-top lid and that lid has a screw-top spout.

The features I like are that it won’t accidentally pop open and I can take one look at it at see the liquid level.

So we’re clear, both the large hole for putting ingredients in and the hole to pour them out are both on the screw-on top?

Correct - Big lid screws on to the glass base and little spout cap screws on to the spout

Does it look like this?

Or this? (If not that one, go to the main page, they have lots to look through…)

(I’m a serious martini enthusiast…)

Somewhat like this although the spout is smaller and to the side.

And I’d bid on that one but it says the top is missing.

Well, either my camera or my eye was fuzzy this morning but I thought that maybe some pictures might help.

It looks pretty simple. You’d think that I could easily find a replacement.

Sorry I can’t help - but I’m curious as to exactly why you want another. Do you fear yours will break? Need more tha 500 ml of martinis at a time? Need multiple ones for multiple fridges?

A housewarming gift for my son who just bought his own house and moved out of mine. He’s rather fond of the Martini jug and would like one of his own.

Cool.
Thanks.
Hope you find one.

That looks functionally similar to something my husband stole from my MIL when he moved out after college. I think it was originally from Amway or similar, or made by Tupperware, and it was for mixing supplement shakes. The lids didn’t screw on but were water-tight (I’ve shaken lots of vinaigrette in it).

ETA: Try Googling “supplement shaker” or “meal replacement shaker” and see if one of those may work. The ones I saw were similar to ours.

Looks like a well dispenser for a bar, ised for mixers … let me rummage online.store n pour now made of plastic, i suppose that you could have one made or just go plastic?
