I have a martini dispenser that is great for pre-chilling my gin martinis. I just pour my gin and a whisper of dry vermouth into the glass dispenser and then put it in the fridge.
I like it so much that I want another. But I can’t find one anywhere. It was given to me by my father-in-law who has since passed on, so I have no clue from where it came.
Let me describe it. It’s a long slender smooth glass base about the width of a mason jar and twice as tall. It has a very slight (almost unnoticeable) taper. It holds about 500ml.
The glass base is threaded at the top. It has a hard plastic screw-on top with a small spout that also screws on.
I’ve tried 20 or more different versions of google keywords like “glass martini screwtop shaker dispenser” to no avail.
Most of the results show typically shaped martini shakers with compression lids and screw-top spouts.
Don’t let me down Dopers. I know one of you has one of these and knows where can get another
Are you sure it’s marketed as a martini dispenser? Maybe your father-in-law bought some other kitchen gadget and gave it to you to be used as a martini dispenser. Try searching for glass cocktail or drink dispensers.
Nope, not sure at all. I’ve tried variations of drink, cocktail, and even water on Google but to no avail.
I’m not at all surprised that I can’t find it. It’s probably 25 years old.
What I’m bummed about is that I can’t even find anything that its functionally similar.
I want to be able to pour the liquor in through a big hole and pour it out through a small hole. And not worry about it popping open, hence the screw top lids.
Sorry I can’t help - but I’m curious as to exactly why you want another. Do you fear yours will break? Need more tha 500 ml of martinis at a time? Need multiple ones for multiple fridges?
That looks functionally similar to something my husband stole from my MIL when he moved out after college. I think it was originally from Amway or similar, or made by Tupperware, and it was for mixing supplement shakes. The lids didn’t screw on but were water-tight (I’ve shaken lots of vinaigrette in it).
ETA: Try Googling “supplement shaker” or “meal replacement shaker” and see if one of those may work. The ones I saw were similar to ours.
Looks like a well dispenser for a bar, ised for mixers … let me rummage online.store n pour now made of plastic, i suppose that you could have one made or just go plastic?
