gobear, my point was that the actions of a few (Muslims) never should lead to the condemnation of all. I don’t think all Americans are terrorists just because McVeigh blew up a building, and I don’t think all Muslims are terrorist because a few of them flew jetliners into the WTC.

As for the relative size of the “few” that are actually terrorists, yes, there are differences. There are also plenty of methods to discuss those differences intelligently and constructively. None of these methods seem to be part of Xploder’s repertoire here.

It’s worse. It’s actually not people like the OP that scare me, so much, as the intelligent people who are generally sensible who may have the same opinions but are either too PC or too worried about their image to say what they think. I have been seriously disillusioned by some posters on these boards who I held in high esteem, as they boldly changed the rules in the middle of the game.

Just in case, the comment above, re: the 85% Jewish school was included so that it’s clear that I wasn’t in a community where my ‘diversity’ was ‘accepted’, especially as I was in middle school, the worst possible age for that sort of thing.

It was NOT to say that anyone Jewish is anymore likely to give anyone a hard time.

Actually, I never said that the MidEast needed to be taught American values, I said that they needed to be taught basic HUMAN values, NOT American values.

I do apologize to the Europeans that help support peace by joining in on U.N. actions and (unilateral) other actions. My intent was NOT to cause a ruckus by stating an honest opinion. I posted in the heat of the moment after reading the op and nothing else.

As for what I did post, I stand by it. There really isn’t another power in the world today that could force what I would consider an insane culture, (i.e., all infidels, catholics, protestants, must die) to face reality and act in a more mature manner.

Do I hate people from the MidEast? Of course not. One of my favorite people around here runs my local hardware store and IS from the MidEast. Do I have issues with what happened to me during Desert Storm. Of course I do. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be human.
