I suppose that is a bit coloquial.
How about “fuck off” then?

Frankly, I’m disappointed. Any self-respecting Dubliner knows it’s “ask me bollix”. Who do you think you are, Prince Charles?
Well the point remains, most dumbasses aren’t trolling. Someone says one stupid thing these days and they’re ‘trolling’. I know thats not the case literally, but it sure as hell seems like it sometimes.
I trust you emailed the same mod to make them aware of the retraction.
Do a search on our pal here, and in the Cat Killers thread he posted a link to a satire site about cooking cats. Only problem-disgusting graphic pictures of dead animals.
I call him as I see him-a dumbass. If he wants a second chance, he won’t get it instantly-he’ll just have to start acting like a decent human being.
Perhaps he’s just a slave to alliteration?

It’s that damn Coca Cola again. Give 'em a little sugar, a little caffeine, & their ADD blows them through the ceiling.
Not that I agree with the op, because I don’t, I think he’s a moron, I do think that the U.S., as the only world power left, should just go in and completely conquer the middle east and, shall we say, educate them in proper human behavior.
Looking back at that, all I can say is, DAMN that’s a lot of commas!
What I mean is that a LOT of people in this world need to be taught the basics about the anctity of human life and that sending your extremely young child out to die by either strapping a bomb on them or giving them an ak47 to shoot at the infidels with is wrong.
An American Hegemony? Why not? I don’t see the Euro’s doing a lot for world peace besides having protests. If it comes down to peace by force or death by inaction, then I’m all in favor of force.
Bulletin: apparently Ann Coulter is posting to the SDMB under the user name Xploder.
First off, Asfur: go forth and sin no more.
Next Target.

Holy living feck. Are you serious? American values for all? Look, no one’s arguing that suicide bombing is a good thing. But: suicide bombers are not a majority, anywhere. Could you answer these questions for me, please:
Why is the US the sole arbiter of human values?
Does the US have an impeccable track record when it comes to human rights? (Hint: the answer is not “yes”.)
Has the US succeeded in making its own people crime- and terror free? Are there no American terrorists?
Why would superior military capabilities be an indicator for good values, when what one aims for is a peaceful world?
An American Hegemony? Why not?
Because hegemonies have come and gone in the past, and they’ve all failed. The British Empire didn’t last. The Dutch no longer rule the Seven Seas. Hitler’s Nazi Germany (hiya there, mr. Godwin) didn’t quite make it. The Roman and Greek empire were magnificent examples of civilization on the one hand, but they became that at the cost of other cultures, and other peoples. Genghis Khan is reported to be pulling back his troops, too.
An American hegemony is an irrational wish, uttered by someone blinded by patriotism to the extent of not seeing the world anymore. The planet is too diverse to be put under single rule. Period. Cooperation, in the long run, is the best we can hope for. Peaceful coexistence of varied, and at times opposing, cultures and nations. Sorry to have to break it to you, Xploder, but you are a git.
I don’t see the Euro’s doing a lot for world peace besides having protests.
Yeah, those sissy Europeans, manning a large part of the UN’s peace keeping forces throughout the world, while the US thumbs its nose at the world and tries to straighten things out in the Middle East all by itself. Again. With such an impressive track record to fall back upon.
And for some reason, you have forgotten that your main ally in the War on Iraq is, well, European. I understand this may come as a shock, but trust me, it’s true.
Suggestion: switch to something other than FOX News. You might learn something, as scary as it may sound.
**If it comes down to peace by force or death by inaction, then I’m all in favor of force. **
Thanks for all those options. Since we’re gonna be dead in both your scenarios, what’s the fucking point of fighting?
Don’t answer that.
Of course, the options are a little more varied than that. I see you’ve only been here for 4 years. I suggest you read along for another 10, to gain some insights, Xploder.
I don’t think America should be teaching anyone about the sanctity of life. YMMV
I’ve met Xploder IRL. I assure you, he is not Ann Coulter.

Fuck. You. Who do you think is/was out there fighting alongside US soldiers? British soldiers, that’s who.
Coldie said the rest of what I wanted to say.
When I was a child, my family hung out with a Cherokee man, Hawk Littlejohn.
I thought he was cool. He took us out to his Christmas-tree farm to hunt for arrowheads. He performed a sweat ceremony for us.
But one time we visited him, and he’d been klonked in the head earlier that day on his construction job. He’d been drinking.
And, amidst telling us anti-white jokes (“If they can send one white man to the moon, why can’t they send them all?” etc.), he told us a story.
When he was a teenager, it seemed, he was training to be a Cherokee Medicine man here in the mountains of North Carolina. The local Ku Klux Klan found out about it, and one night they rode in on horses, shot his dog, surrounded him, and beat him until he renounced his Satan-Worship and admitted that Jesus Christ was his savior.
He kept his silence, and they eventually left him for dead.
He never forgot; he never forgave.
Xploder, you’re not the Klan. But when you talk about invading the Middle East and teaching them how to behave like civilized human beings, I am reminded of what happened to Hawk Littlejohn that night.
No matter how uncivilized someone looks to you, you cannot beat them into civilization.

the other lesson of course is that:
do not condemn the entire population because of the actions of a few (KKK /= all of the US any more than AQ/terrorists= all MiddleEast)
Has the US succeeded in making its own people crime- and terror free? Are there no American terrorists?
Not to take away fron your otherwise insightful post, but this moral equivalency makes me very tired. Yes, Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols blew up the Murragh building in Oklahoma City in 1995, but this does NOT make the US as terror-ridden as the Middle East. We have our Bible thumpers, but American fundie Christian ministers do not routinely preach that all Jews ought to be destroyed and that killing non-Christians for Jesus is a praiseworthy act. We do not have President Bush handing out cash rewards to the families of suicide bombers. Our police do not conspire with bombers who target apartment buildings and schools. We do not have crowds of people who revere McVeigh as a martyr for God.
Please stop using tu quoque responses to draw false comparisons between America and parts of the Muslim world.
Most Muslims are not terrorists, but you cannot deny that there is a growing sympathy among Muslims for terrorism as a legitimate tactic against the United States and Israel.
It’s posts like the OP that make me seriously consider a qualifying exam for voters.

I would support the idea to nuke the hell out of the Middle East, only if I got to ride down on the bomb, Slim Pickins-style.
Then again, I’d support the idea to nuke the hell out of anything if it meant I got to Yee-Haw with the best of 'em…
(… I’ll go back to my corner now…)

Ah. Then the reason for his spewing that bigoted, jingoistic drivel was…?
