The Most Effective Martial Arts Move Ever.

You expect her to take your advice on martial arts when, in the very first sentence, you try to pass off a nuked potato as baked?

For shame.

I am just popping in to tell you that the most effective martial art move is the Flaming Dragon Phoenix Mountain Breaker Gale Wind strike…

Tongue in cheek aside, traditionally (according to what Chinese martial art novels would have you to believe), martial arts is for ‘the cultivation of the body’ and has ties to religious philosophy. Never starting a fight is indeed one of the most effective ‘form’ ever.

But…what if you are cornered? I guess for me I have to resort to the Three Fingers of Death - 991.

That works a lot worse on female opponents than it does on male ones, Little Grasshopper.

I should know, I got kicked in the groin repeatedly, by an opponent who knew what she was doing, and it still had very little noticeable effect other than making me wonder “why is this bitch I don’t even know kicking my parts?” and getting me kind of angry as I happen to be emotionally attached to said parts. That same treatment would leave a guy on the floor after the first hit, which in my case left me standing in place from the surprise (hence why she was able to repeat it, once, by the third attempt I’d turned around and the fight was very much on).

She is a master of that technique. Two bean burritos and she can make the dog run for cover.

Seconded

Actually, Rule 1 is very definitely “Never act incautiously when confronting a little bald wrinkly smiling man”

This comes from the probably greatest expert of the OP’s fighting style.

No, no, NO! Rule #1 is you don’t talk about Fight Club!

There should be a law against them. Even in RPG worlds.

Rincewind is an expert at that style of fighting as well.

This is the essence of my philosophy. We live in a world that worships violence and overlooks the value of stepping around it. It is strange, to me, that humans are so “competey.”

I don’t fight, I resolve confrontations by competing in challenges to see who can be the most peaceful. If my opponent were to resort to physical violence, they automatically lose by forfeit.
