Habeed: Exactly true. When a guy, in the 70’s, claimed to have developed an inertialess drive – the Dean Drive – there were scientists who were happy to look at it. A deputation of physicists did attend a demonstration.
When they were denied a look at the actual insides of the machinery, and when no diagrams or documents were offered, they lost interest.
You can still usually find an actual scientist or college professor who will look at your “Perpetual Motion Machine.” They’ll admit, up front, that they don’t believe in it, but if you ask politely, they’ll look at it.
(I know a very nice math prof who takes the time to look at people’s “alternative mathematics” papers. Unfortunately, his most commonplace response is, “This is impossible to read.”)
