A data scientist (that’s Latin for not really a scientist) decided to compare the frequency of English words used in heavy metal lyrics to their use in everyday English text.

(Blah blah spoiler space blood demon hell something about vikings yada yada.)

Burn.

Runners up included cries, veins, eternity, and breathe. There’s also a rather amusing list of the least metal words. I’ll officially be amazed if any of you guess the winner there.

I didn’t guess it, but I’m glad that it is what it is! It has Metal history going for it, after all…

Huh!
Wow!
I didn’t know Peep Purple were gay.

Peep Purple? Next year’s entry in the Peep Show?

I always wanted to be in a thrown together sometimes-band called Deep Pump-hole and the first song/album would’ve been called Rugburn, which sounds pretty metal, in whatever way you wanna look at that.

“Particularly.” Very tinny.

Oh, dear. Becky has gorn orff again.
