The movie Kick Ass has both Quicksilvers!!?

One of my kids surfed to the movie Kick Ass. The lead is Aaron Taylor Johnson the guy who ended up playing Quicksliver in the Avengers Age of Ultron. As I’m watching it, I realize one of his buddies is played by the actor who played Quicksilver in the X-men movies. Watching them interact is a bit meta.

Hmm, why didn’t I know this? Pretty funny.

That is pretty cool, and I didn’t realize it either.

The Fourth Protocol features two future Alfred the Butlers: Michaels Gough & Caine.

And Bad Company features two future Perry Whites: Frank Langella & Laurence Fishburne

This sort of thing must happen a lot in Shakespeare works, which are often put on film, and which tend to attract the same actors.

Link to a previous thread, which starts off with mention of how APOCALYPSE NOW featured two future Robert E. Lees.

I’m guessing this doesn’t count.

Game of Thrones has two Sarah Conners (Lena Headey from The Sarah Conner Chronicles and Emilia Clarke from the last film)

Ah, right.

Guess this is a bit more frequent than I realized. Interesting.

Here’s another one. The 2004 film Crash has two Lt Col James “Rhodey” Rhodes / War Machine:
Terrence Howard
Don Cheadle
Brothers (2009) contains two Spider Mans (Spider Men?) (Gyllanhall, McGuire)

Are you talking about Jake Gyllenhaal? When did he ever play Spider-Man?

The closing shot of Capricorn One shows Elliott Gould and James Brolin, each of whom would play the role of Barbra Streisand’s husband.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olson, the actors playing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in “Age of Ultron” (and very briefly in “CA: Winter Soldier”), also both appeared just one year earlier in “Godzilla” playing husband and wife, creating a meta-“Eww” moment.

Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson also appeared together in both Ex Machina and Star Wars The Force Awakens.

He didn’t. I don’t know why I thought he did.

It’s the mask.

He played Nightcrawler once, though.

Hey, that’s right! And ew.

Bet you didn’t see that coming.

Because he was a hair’s width away from getting the role for Spider-Man 2. Tobey Maguire was either too hurt or wanted too much of a raise (depending on who you believe), and producers met with Gyllenhaal about taking over. Then Tobey miraculously got better.

Actors take new roles. Film at 11.

The Royal National Theatre staged a version of Frankenstein where the two lead actors would alternate playing the monster and Victor Frankenstein.

They were Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller.
