My own take we are all children of God and therefore God, we make mistakes by since God is willing and able to corrected them they ary never really mistakes (just learnign tools for God’s children). So our free will is already considered and compensated for by God.
So we have free will but that is not ourside the ability of God to be our parent and lead/teach/guide God’s child. I believe that ability of God to have us learn via free will to be they way God wants it.
And going further, it is not the artist that creates the new work, but the artist combined with the spirit of Love, it is God + God’s child that can create, why would anyone want anything different?
Mein Kampf and The Satanic Bible and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion and The Turner Diaries were written by the artist combined with the spirit of Love?
If you’re lucky you get to be one of God’s Children-If you’re not, you’re just a tool.
If Mein Kampf was a lesson for Hitler, I guess that means that the Jews were all tools.
First, Jesus specifically denied he meant he was uniquely divine among humans. (And, interestingly enough, this backpedaling was under threat of death.) Second, “John” is the most favorable to your kind of proof texting. The others, the Synoptics, are much less helpful.
(You seem to be assuming Monavis never read beyond that one part. Why?)
:dubious:
One of the things (according to your One, True, Holy Book of choice) Jesus presented as factual was the totally idiotic bullshit about Noah and the Deluge.
So, please forgive ME, for one, for not bowing to your empty dogma. And for eventually being honest enough to admit the Bible is not inerrant or even infallible.
And you could get three murderous sociopaths of no particular brain power together and, with enough incentive, they could soon enough develop a tome as large as your Babble with a MUCH higher morality and a more consistent one. It’s not even a “good” book!
Maybe a trace overstated. The Bible is a very “pretty” book, with a lot of nice stylism, some good poetry, a little actual history, and a bunch of elegant metaphors. We can read it with much the same pleasure as we read the Iliad and Odyssey. It really is a passing good work of ancient literature.
Just a note on free will, yes we have it, but it is compensated for.
If we construct something out of Love, we combine ourselves with God (as God is Love and also indivisible). So anything directly out of Love is God. But if we act outside of love, love compensates for us and will bring us under the realization that love was the correct choice for us all along, stepping from this path will be realized by karmic returns and one would decide that love is always to correct choice.
So again nothing was created that was not created by God.
But to your point Yes I believe a God so personal that he would allow us to share with His creation. Artists share and are inspired by the mind of God. It’s not a insult but a complement to them. It is not the artist skill but God’s gift through them.
Doesn’t the commandment say, more or less, ‘thou shalt have no other Gods before me.’…which could certainly indicate that there are at least three Gods, possibly zillions.
As I understand it,Jesus spoke of his returning in his father’s glory with his angels while some of the people standing there listening to him would still be alive, and as to the hour only his father knew, was referring to the worlds’s end, When the Apostles asked Jesus when the world would end(after Jesus talked about the Sun not giving it’s light ,the moon turning to blood, the stars falling etc). He didn’t state the year, but just the day and hour; People expected the world to end in that generation, and Jesus is quoted as saying this generation will not pass away until all these things are accomplished. Since it didn’t happen some say generation wasn’t the same as it is now, but Matthew said there was 14 generations between David and Jesus. Using the same word.
In truth No one Knows anything about any god, they just believe the view of some other human’s idea of God. It was John who is said to have written that God is Love, but that isn’t necessarily true; if one looks at Paul’s definition of God Love doesn’t fit.
Actually when Jesus was said to have Blasphemed because he called god his father, he replied; " It says in your law,I said you are gods, so why do you say I blaspheme when I call god my father, when your fathers did? "
I take that to mean he was not part of or the creator of all things as the God of Abraham was called.
