Has anyone been brave enough to read this? Normally, I go by word-of-mouth reviews, since reading random reviews tends to give me unwanted spoilage. So, I ask, given that the last Goodkind book sucked, how bad is the current one? Which of his previous books would you say it is most like? How cheap should I wait for it to get before I buy it?
better then that horrible Pillars of Creation at least. But it remakes points that all the other books had already made and is pretty preachy. And not to spoil anything but the wizard’s rule he learns this time is eye rollingly bad.
Ooppps I hit the reply button too early. I’d say it’s a cross between Soul Of the Fire and Faith of the Fallen.
Do they finally kill that rat-bastard Emperor?
Personally, I always wanted to see Zed blow away the Palace of the Prophets.
The only thing that ever really bothered me about the series was Richard’s honey in the second book. Honestly, couldn’t she have been bothered to go ask Zed for some advice BEFORE guilt tripping Rich into slavery? Moron, I swear. Although thge guilt-tripping itself was frighteningly accurate.
In all fairness, SB, she thought he was going to die. Why, as she had been raised around wizards, she thought this is a matter for speculation, but she did think it.
As for the emperor
(this is my first attempt at a spoiler box so don’t read below if I screw it up
No he doesn’t die but I wish they’d kill him off and start to bring this series to a close already. It’ll soon be as long as The Wheel of Time
Thanks guys. I knew there was a reason I quit reading Goodkind after that awful volume with the statues. I’ve often said that the entire series could be resolved if Zedd, Kahlan, and Richard all sat down, had some tea, and talked.
