The New 'Hamlet': Anyone seen it?

Sorry, the search seems to be down right now, so I can’t check to see if anyone’s already mentioned this.
Has anyone seen the new Hamlet movie, with Ethan Hawk, I believe. It played at the local artsy theater, and unfortunately I was working both nights it played. I heard about it in a film magazine last year, have been looking forward to it ever since, and then poof it was gone.
So did anybody check it out? I heard some positive feed-back. Should I be checking my local video store and amazon.com every month, or were you not impressed by it?

I saw it. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. There are lots of neat adaptions to the modern times setting and Bill Murry deserves an Oscar for his Polonius. I didn’t much care for Julia Stiles as Ophelia. I know Ophelia has a small role in the play but even that was cut down and she just looks and act the role way to young. It is cool that in practilally every shot of her there is also water. Ethan Hawk does a good job but during part of the movie he wears this stocking hat that looks silly but overall I would give the film a seven out of 10.

I would say it’s worth a rental. I really liked the cinematography, the aforementioned water scenes, and the use of NY as setting. Also, the modern jobs assigned to the characters.

Cool. Thanks Zebra and Vix. My curiosity is piqued, I’ll have to check it out. I just heard that instead of a play, Hamlet makes a movie to show Claudius’ guilt. Well, it might be the filmmaker in me talking, but I like the sound of this. And instead of a kingdom, it’s a Fortune 500 company. Sounds like a very interesting adaptation. I’ll definitely rent it (though it will probably take a while to come out).
