There is a book entitled “The Nylon Pirates” by Monsarrat (sp?)
Anybody have any info on it?
I recall reading this book many years ago. The author is Nicholas Monsarrat.
There’s a brief synopsis on this page. I can add the following details:
[spoiler]One of the con artists is a card sharp and intends to cheat wealthy passengers out of their cash. Another two plan to offer sexual services to various widows on the ship in return for payment. I can’t remember what the other scams were.
All this schemes come to naught in the end. The card cheat is caught and a couple of women get wise to the gigolos and demand vast amounts of sex from them for no reward.[/spoiler]
