The Onion--Live!

It was a funny show. I have been a long-time reader, but my wife much less so. She did a very loud THHWARBL! when the headline

**Holy Shit! Man Lands on the Fucking Moon.**

came on the screen.

Dear god you have no idea how much I tossed and turned over getting tickets to this or not. You see it’s been my dream for years to run away and join The Onion. Much like children of yore wished to join the circus, I wish to join The Onion. Every time I read one I end up with such sore sides. That having been said, an Onion live show? WTF? The little info about it wasn’t particularly enlightening and it sounded more like it would be just people talking about the paper, more of a background of the paper and how it is run. That’s all well and good, but ultimately I had to choose between that and my daughter’s request for a daddy-daughter outing to a midnight showing of the new Harry Potter movie, and the kid won out.

I still call my wife up from time to time after reading a particularly funny edition and say “I wanna run away and join The Onion.”

Oh, and sequential threads for my screen at the moment reads

The Onion – Live!
… with lesbians!

Now I wish I had gone.

Enjoy,
Steven

If I was a family man I would have taken the kiddo to HP too and loved every minute of it. You did the right thing. But. . . with lesbians?!?!?! That’s another matter!
