Until in a while somebody produces a rival that is open source. Remember all the buzz about Dall-E 2? And the expensive renders at their site, if you ever got off the waiting list for their tightly curated site? Except that Stable Diffusion came along as open source, free to use, free to download, free to modify? Nobody is buzzing about Dall-E 2 anymore, it became an instant also-ran.
