this was just released today, and already we have ultra-conservatives up in arms, evidentally they don’t recognize this as a satirical parody of the movie.
(or maybe its the Tic-Tac-Toe scene)

Got a link to the people complaining about it? That should be good for a laugh, too.
hilarious! what, this cartoon is too violent for christians, but the mel gibson movie is not?
As a Jew, I found the depiction of an Orthodox Jewish man attending the Crucifixion while smiling, dancing, clapping, laughing, and cheering with pom poms to be, literally, laugh-out-loud funny.
Aruba liberace, aruba liberace!
Makes me even gladder I didn’t see the movie: I had trouble stomaching THAT, and it was just a cartoon!
The people you’re talking about are allergic to parody. They wouldn’t care either way.
That’s pretty much the whole movie, when you get down to it.
Look, you really should have had a spoiler tag in the thread title. I haven’t seen the movie yet, and now I know the ending.
Fun! And, yes, it would be fun to see theiri hate mail, as I am sure they are getting some. Hehehe - that saves me the trouble of going to see the film, not that I had any plan to, anyway.
Brilliant!
Loved it!
You mean you’ve not read the book?
That’s some swingin’ hep-cat tune playin’ in the background! What the heck is it from?
Here it comes!
Thank you!
I’ve seen one thread on the WoW gaming board that was pretty funny…whodathunk so many Warcraft players are uptight conservatives.
Most of the threads about it on various religious boards have been deleted…I’m sure more will show up though.
One comment from a review on tribalwar-- “The movie has MORE violence, and less of a story”
Apparently it was done originally by–you guessed it, Liberace–but I’m thinking this song is a cover…?
I Googled.
Ha! That was hilarious.
It was the popcorn and soda that got me.
Nope, that’s pure Lee. How could it be otherwise?
Liberace performed Aruba Liberace in the 1965 MGM musical When the Boys Meet the Girls, an updated version of the Gershwin musical Girl Crazy, starring Connie Francis.
Thanks for saving me the seven fifty. Any guesses as to how manythousands of hits that site will get? My only question is, where’d the popcorn come from?
I’ll ask Musashi if that is a dig at the fans of the movie…
you know, the ones who walked out exclaiming how “religious” the experience was…
I wonder if God is offended by the thought that his most ardent supporters are enjoying JuJu-Bees and Pepsi while they watch his suffering
