Guy Gabeldon the Chicano Marine who grew up with a Japanese family in East LA has died.
He was known as the Pied Piper of Saipan for his sucess in getting over 1500 Japanese troops to surrender to him. 800 in one day alone.
Jeffery Hunter protrayed him in the movie Hell To Eternity
