I was wondering : what is the latest about the scorecard in the Senate. The last I heard there were two Republicans against and one Democrat for which means that Bush needs at least one and probably more like 3 Democrats to defect. Any news on who that might be?
I suspect that the final compromise is going to be a number close to 1.6 trillion but with a significantly lower tax cut for the top bracket. Both sides will declare victory. What do you think?
