The Powder Rooms on the Lower Levels Here

As one place to size up a little one noisy poster here, I lurked a little in the lower forums of this complex, where I normally avoid posting or even reading. I noted that the sex ratio is quite switched around down there. It appears that, while probably many women with listenable interests lurk at the contentful upper levels here, only mostly the other kind do much posting at this MB. . .and most of those end up spending most of their time wallowing down in the bowels here.

Social theories, anyone?

Ray

If what you posted made any sense, I might give you sociological theories. What do you mean by the lower forums? If you mean the lower ones as they appear on the home screen, have you noticed the top two are moderated by women? (Well, Gaudere is now moderating Great Debates, but she is new.) Wallowing in the Bowels there? Is that a reference to some strange sexual practice? It seems to me that you have run into trouble with women in all the fora on this board lately, does that have anything to do with this current post? Or do you just have problems with women that have actual views and therefore gravitate to General Questions, the Pit, and Great Debates? I guess we all know that the “correct according to Nanobyte” women should stay in Mundane Pointless Stuff I Must Share where they won’t have to worry their pretty little heads over anything tough.

“You can be smart or pleasant. For years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.”
Elwood P. Dowd

Gee, Nanobyte, I don’t know if you should be so concerned with that or if you should investigate how quickly posters fall off the board over time. I went back to find an old posting and there were lots of name I’ve never seen. Fell or jumped off the board. Oh, maybe a couple were pushed.

Oh, I’m gonna keep using these #%@&* codes 'til I get 'em right.

I thought that this thread was going to be about Guy Fawkes. Damn! (^:

By ‘lower forums’, considering GQ the SD-thematic forum, I meant the three, GD, MPSIMS and the Pit – those GQ threads degenerate to qualification for, as a result of posters’ off-theme habits. I practically never check these. As far as my. . .uh. . .non-PC implication, I guess GD is not relevent to it. I spent some there this time, in order to size up someone. I was referring to the gender distribution of the participant posters, not the moderators.

As far as my take on the subject, it is not as you say; it is my impression that another of women with interesting questions often lurk in GQ and a few test the waters with a question, but then, I think they see the general gist of where things go here, together with what goes on with the women that hang here. . .and then scoot for a rather different environment.

The fact of my recent dances with ladies in two different fora was mostly, of course, due to two of them nosing around to carry my earlier complaints against widespread obnoxious behavior within their professions, primarily by males, into cumulative support for any of their co-gendered combatants (?) whom might be taking flak (?) from me.

I guess I was not nice, in mixing humor with a mild sense of annoyance from TubaDiva’s casual reference to Netscape’s likely being the cause of a conflict in an interim glitch in an SD UBB modification – to the extent that it couldn’t be determined how strong my objection was. The background of that annoyance is the rampant buck-passing responses one gets these days from software-outfit tech-support personnel, who are anywhere from totally non-technical to mildly so. Tuba’s tangent remark was not a hard U-turn sign, just something that seemed like the beginnings of a habit that shouldn’t get started in that cubicle.

My comments and data on professions’ systematic incivilities toward the public are all basically grounded on their inherent gangsterism. I’ll have to admit that “my panties’ wad” sees a bit of the same kind of gangsterism in the busybody expressioons dished around in multiple threads and forums, by members of the wad-plagued set, upon my feigned outburst to Tuba. Of course, since then, we have witnessed far more gang-support behavior here from male posters. Hey, I thought SDers were supposed to be individuals, even ones not easily threatened by positions taken by those who are not doctors, lawyers, writers, and all the other word-oriented analyzers from the other side of campus.

I’m a little shocked by the large number of (now be nice) briefers hangin out here. I’m also amazed that one MD (albeit one somewhat atypical) has managed to stick out for a bit). Usually, MDs don’t like to swarm with the hoi polloi without all their props carefully in place. (Heehee: Wait till the AMA and DOD (not to mention los paseños latinos del Río Bravo) see that “steekin’” comment captured in the archives here. )

Ray (No offense to Elmer, but some posts here indicate that the “pleasant” here is passed by in ennui. (That last word was for Chief Wigwam – to keep his wig wa’m. Sorry.))

Any other word-oriented analyzers screaming in pain at this point?

Yes.

Man, I thought I finally knew the answer to a general question:
Powder rooms are usually on the first floor so that guests have access to them without having to tramp up to the second floor.

that’s all I know and I’m sticking to it.

Regardless of what you might think of powder rooms, most will beat a slit trench and shovel hands down!

(There! Did I wander far enough off the OP subject?)

I could never eat a mouse raw…their little feet are probably real cold going down.
