The price of my beer just dropped. Is this significant?

Here in the west, Tooheys Extra Dry used to be in the range of $37 a carton. Since last summer, $30 blocks aren’t uncommon.

Oh, I concede that different booze establishments will have their specials but I have NEVER heard of the general price of beer coming down Nazza.

And the reason why Tooheys Extra Dry is now only 30 bucks? Speaking of ‘half-decent’ have you tried drinking that stuff lately??

Kroger’s had their asses handed to them once upon a time when they tried to go into Florida. They’re not used to having to compete. Don’t know if they’ve tried again since, but AFAIK they don’t have anything significant.

Now, have we figured out what’s up with the beer? I live in the armpit of Kroger country, and I’ve not seen any drop in beer prices. Although to be fair I try to shop at Meijers or Biggs or anyplace that’s not Krogers. Jungle Jims is cool and has a fantastic beer selection but that’s more for adventure than savings. They even have a great beer glass selection. Any grocer’s with their own monorail can’t be all bad.
