The psychology of the nations of the world

We’re not bullies. You recite the same old “blood for oil” argument, but you obviously have never met a Kurd, or a Hazara, or any of the other groups of people who were genuinely suffering until hostile dictatorships. And although I have nothing but criticism for how we went about executing our wars, you demonstrate a completely superficial understanding of what is happening overseas.

Why would I do something like that? As I pointed out above, countries are not monolithic entities. Trying to come up with a single label to describe millions of people who all have different ideas about what should and shouldn’t be is futile. Any resulting diagnosis would be so innaccurate as to have no value. You are just begging for a flame war.

First, let me say that I am not asking for a flame war. I’ve been a lurker here since I was 16 (26 now) and I’ve gained a lot from being here at the SD. I understand that I only have a remedial understanding of world issues, but I am very interested in them. I come here, with my POV, to gain a better understanding of the world because I know that there are a lot of people that know a lot more than I do. With that being said…

How are we not bullies?
