LOL. Personally, it seems like a repeat of the original Sony Playstation’s planned obsolescence. “Not only will we put the vents on the bottom but we’ll put a big ass steel plate over it too.”
I agree with you on this one, RoboDude (the round mouse). Fortunately there’s a simple and cheap fix. You can buy a oval plastic doohicky that the mouse slips into, making it a really comfortable tool.
It’s called iCatch, and can be seen at http://www.macsensetech.com
I think it’s available at most mac friendly stores.

Yeah, I’ve seen that thing.
There’s also the matter of the keyboard that had the keys all crammed together as if it were designed to be part of a laptop.
Is this some sort of moneymaking scheme, making people pay extra for input devices that are comfortable to use?
Sometimes it seems as though Apple has a strict policy against hiring people who don’t use illegal drugs.
Apple has gotten rid of the hockey puck mouse. It is old news. It is no longer part of their line. Sure, they could have gotten rid of it sooner, but bottom line, it’s gone now.
If this topic qualifies for Great Debates, I think we should bring the Enterprise-vs.-Star-Destroyer controversy back into this forum too…
with the adapter on it. The shape fits my hand, and I like the big single button.
I use a pc at work, and my iMac at home. I prefer the iMac. I might get a cube when this machine craps out. And a nice big monitor. I’ll suffer the lack of software.
BTW;
As long as we’re wandering around the OP here, has anyone tried the new cordless mouse.
Peace,

Forget the “cordless” mouse question. I went and looked, and it ain’t cordless at all. It’s optical. No balls (snicker). Still one button, though. That’s good.
Gotta learn to pay more attention. Maybe that’s why I prefer macs. No need to think.
Peace,

I have a cordless mouse on my iMac. It’s attached to my Wacom USB tablet. (The tablet is not cordless.) It is a two-button mouse. I like it.
