The Repeal of Obamacare/ACA: Step-bystep, Inch-by-inch

Got a cite for that, lying sack of shit?

Um, why do you think the Democrats took such heavy election losses in 2010?

Because the people saw them as being responsible for the ACA and, by extension, every bill or doctor’s issue or whatever. Now it’s the GOP’s turn. Have fun!

But ACA policies weren’t only sold via the exchanges. If a person wasn’t eligible for a subsidy you could buy the policy via a broker or you could deal directly with the insurer.
I initially went to the NY exchange but it was clunky and slow. And there were way too many options in my price range. So I called a broker who made some recommendations and priced both ACA and “regular” policies. The ACA policies were the best value and I selected one with a 0 deductible ( yes, you can buy that, at least in NY, if you self-pay).

And the individual insurers ran extensive advertising during the open enrollment period aimed at getting people to deal with them directly.

So I’m thinking part of the reason for the discrepancy is that people purchased policies without using the exchanges.

And sign Executive Orders

You are as dumb as a fucking bag of hammers.

Do you understand the concept of change over time? Do you understand that one person or group can be responsible for something at one point in time, but that responsibility can shift at another point in time?

I am happy to concede that Democrats are—by and large, and with some important caveats—responsible for Obamacare as it currently exists. But the Republicans won both houses of Congress and the White House by blaming Democrats for it, and by promising to repeal and/or replace it. If they get their bill through both houses, and signed by the Yam in Chief, it’s their baby.

Dishonest excrement like you will, no doubt, continue to blame Democrats for everything you don’t like, and credit Republicans for everything that you do like, and in the current climate it could even be that you’ll convince millions of equally brain-dead morons that you’re right. But your delusions and fantasies won’t change the reality of the situation.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott “Cocksucker” Walker said Friday that he would consider seeking a waiver to let insurers raise premiums for people with pre-existing medical conditions if the House Republicans’ health care plan becomes law.

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) says that people without pre-existing medical conditions are people who “have lead good lives” and “done things the right way.”

I guess i’ll let my wife know that the breast cancer and ovarian cyst for which she had operations a few years ago could have been avoided by being a better person.

Just put the son of a bitch on IGNORE, like I did. He’s just a fucking troll anyway.

Certainly from the perspective of requiring higher health care costs, some people are “better” than others. And I think we can show statistically that some people can be expected to have higher costs.

For example, rock climbers or hang gliders seem to be at greater risk for accidental injury. And pregnancy and childbirth can be expensive (very expensive if the newborn needs to be in the NICU), so charge more to women of childbearing years who are not on long-term birth control. And if hunters and other gun owners are at higher risk of accidental injury, they should also be charged more.

Let’s use an evidence-based approach to assign people to risk pools based on genetics, lifestyle and habits. Will this piss off people, especially the Republican base? Perhaps.

My younger brother must have been a hell-raiser in the womb. Born with cerebral palsy and mentally challenged.

Hey, Doublethink just requires holding two mutually exclusive thoughts at once…they don’t need to be well (or even fully) formed!

“Nobody dies because they dont have access to healthcare.”

It’s even more basic than that:

In case you were wondering, here’s a list of the 20 Republicans who voted against the health care bill.

And the shit starts hitting the fan in TV ads.

Mail your body to Paul Ryan. No, really.

Paul Ryan apparently didn’t read this guy’s T-shirt before posing for a selfie with him.

No, thank you. I can see him doing something abhorrent to it.

“I was raped. Thanks to Republicans, I could be denied insurance for surviving.”

WTF?

The AHCA is a fucking abomination for a variety of reasons, but this claim is pretty inaccurate.

An analysis (by the same newspaper) says that:

Their analysis says:

Thanks for that clarification. Could the sticking point be “**domestic **abuse”? Namely, if the rape does not happen as a result of domestic abuse?
