I think this is their strategy at this point… Screw up the markets, and then blame everything on Obama.
They won’t own it because they’ll lie. They’ll say over and over and over and over that the mess is all Obama’s fault. And their trained media will report on what they said over and over and over and over.
And these lies will become “truth”.
This.
Asahi, you’re doing that thing again. I know you can’t help it, but being reasonable and making sense just don’t fly anymore. <shrugs>
It’s almost as if drafting a bill in secret isn’t the best way to build consensus and write legislation that can get approved.
Dunno if this has been posted, but apparently the Fucknut in Chief is threatening to not pay subsidies for people on the ACA.
The Pro-Life & Pro-Small Business party, ladies and gentlemen. If this happens, I suppose my family’s just supposed to pray we don’t get hurt or sick. Being self-employed, we rely on these subsidies.
We live in the era of politics as theater. They should just vote against the hated Obamacare, but protect the popular ACA.
I wonder if Ann Coulter will use this as further proof that women are not fit for politics and shouldn’t have the vote, since all they do is vote for sugar daddy government.
I guess he is thinking of what would happen in the countries that he admires… You just arrest the opposition and then have the vote. This is indicative of how Trump thinks.
Somewhere John Boehner is having a great time.
From a Politico reporter’s tweet: “Senators wanted to vote this week. White House pushed for next week for Trump to work his healthcare magic”
I laughed.
Well, he is the only one who knows that health care was complicated.
I’m laughed out loud when I read the headlines today about McConnell not being even able to bring a vote on repeal.
Ya big meanie. Can’t you even feel a teensy bit sorry for poor Mitch?
Nothing like a White House lunch to woo back the errant senators - not!: http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/19/politics/trump-senate-lunch/index.html
At least he didn’t take them to Mar-a-Lago.
Were you thinking of this?
Breaking News: Mitch McConnell flees the Senate, reverts to his natural state and heads for the sea.
Oh, I think there will be a vote eventually.
Not sure what the McCain news will do.
God, I’m tired.
I am sure there must be at least one American out there who is suffering from the same kind of cancer and who will die in poverty and pain while John McCain is treated by the best cancer specialists in the world on the taxpayer’s dime. And if John McCain survives, he will vote to make sure the peasants won’t be able to enjoy such care themselves.
I can’t even keep up. Is the Senate still voting on the “repeal now, replace later” bill? Weren’t there 3 Republican senators who already said they were opposed? Is the House going to vote on it as well? Can they even pass a “clean repeal” on reconciliation? I thought that required a filibuster-proof majority, since it’s not just a budget bill. Are they planning to use the Nuclear Option?
