If McCain voted Yea, the count would have been 50-50. Or did I miss something.
If he had stayed home, they wouldn’t have had enough votes to bring it to the floor. Or some such procedural thing.
He got the hell out. He was smart.
Hopefully the FBI will be able to track the bastards down and arrest them.
He’s going to do something, I’m sure of that. I guarantee it.

[li]He lost this one -LOSER[/li][li]He is being rebuked on the Russia sanctions, while Browder explains to everyone Wh[/li][li]Y Trump and Putin wanted the sanctions lifted - and it’s pretty fucking ugly -LOSER[/li][li]The military told him to stuff his “ban” up his ass -LOSER[/li][li]And Meuller chugs on with his investigation -LOSER[/li][li]And the New York AG (who he can’t fire) keeps digging into his financial shenanigans -LOSER[/li][li]And the Boy Scouts are apologizing for the way he acted at their jamboree -LOSER[/li][/ol]
Who knows? Maybe some day (and I hope it’s soon) he’’ be the best president in federal prison.
Well, it is plainly obvious to anyone with eyes and ears that Donald Trump is a pathetic loser. A weak, ignorant, pathetic loser. Pathetic loser Donald Trump.
Fake news. He won by a landslide. Again. Bigliest landslide ever.
I would love to see a Time Magazine cover with his ugly mug on it, and a huge font proclaiming:
President Loser
With small hands.
Bwahahahahaha
After voting to make it possible, for some reason yet to be made clear. It’s even more mysterious why he, Graham, Cassidy, and Johnson said they’d vote for it only if they could get Ryan to assure it would NOT become law. Yes, really, it has indeed come to that. I mean, have any of them ever seen Schoolhouse Rock?
But if you’re going to applaud anyone, applaud the Democrats who remained united against another attempt to hurt people in the cause of partisan spite. If you want to single out a cancer patient for special mention, pick Sen. Maizie Hirono.
I just thought I’d drop in some last thoughts on some of this foolishness:
Everyone I spoke to is in a bit of a daze today. This has been a very stunning two weeks in health policy, not least because the R bills had nothing to do with policy at all. Yes, I know they said it was FRRRRREEDOM, but their bills were just kludges in a way that really made no sense at all. No matter what assumed end goal they might have been touting, these bills did none of that. So, it’s all very weird that they didn’t try for something that actually would have met some of their goals.
The three Senators who voted no are all bullet proof. Unsurprising they are the three. Capito probably could have joined them, but why do it?
The sabotage issue is very real. Pay attention to this story line.
Price might have a target on his back now (I hope I hope I hope). He failed to deliver something he was never going to be able to deliver, and now HHS has to either hurt Trump by continuing the sabotage or disobeying Trump by ending it. Either way, Price just might be screwed (I hope I hope). Price is by far the most disgusting of the cabinet. You thought it was Sessions, but it’s Price. Trust meeeeeee. I hope the ouster of Priebus gives him heart burn (which we know does not actually require a heart, so he’s still susceptible!)
Before you leap headlong into Medicare buy-in or Medicare-for-All, it’s problematic. I can expound more if necessary.
I think Heller is dead man walking. He defied Sandoval and is in an ever-bluer state. But I think it was actually the right call for him to make. The general is easier than the primary in many ways.
The House Rs are really pissed.
The Senate Rs are really embarrassed. Not just “Oh you should be embarrassed” but actual red-faced embarrassment.
They aren’t done. They can come back again directly, or through budget processes or a tax bill. Be alert. Both Medicare (premium support and tax cuts) and Medicaid (caps and expansion) will likely be in the cross-hairs.
The administration can really REALLY hurt Medicaid recipients by okaying any and all 1115 waiver requests from states. I can expound more if necessary.
Seema Verma is really crooked, though more in a sort of venal corruption way, not Price’s horrifyingness.
Capito Secures Additional $42 Million for Flood Relief, said her website, posted yesterday. I would love to know that whole story.
I don’t understand this part, how is Trump hurt?
If the individual markets tank, it ain’t Obama who will be on the hook for it.
In theory, it should hurt Trump if some of his supporters lose their health insurance because of this, but all evidence so far indicates they are incapable of making the connection.
Could you explain this part, for those of us who weren’t following Tom Price’s involvement in this?
Sadly, all too true.
They are probably more likely to blame it all on the Mars bases that the Democrats have made NASA put on Mars to keep child slaves. They are not grounded in any sort of reality.
You know, not all liberals support those.
Apparently many of them are now bailing out on FOX NEWS because it is too liberal.
Wrap yer heads around that.
You know, I just assume nowadays that if Trump supporters lose anything, they blame Obama. My bad.
There’s a bigger picture though, Republicans in general don’t seem worried about the individual markets tanking - they’ve been working at it for years. Congressional Republican physicians especially hate it, and I cannot understand why.
