The Royal Tennenbaums DVD

Ok. I am sure that a lot of you know that Criterion released this great DVD yesterday. It actually has a lot of good extras, and is pretty funny too. Here is my question (to those of you who have seen the DVD)…

What the heck is with the Peter Bradley interview? Is it just me, or is this guy the absolute worst interviewer ever? He does NOT listen to these actors, and he just inturrupts them mid sentance, to go tlak to another guy. Here is an example…

Peter: So, “Chris” (only cause I can’t remember the actors real name), tell me about your part in this movie.

Chris: Oh, I only had one line, as I was loading someone into an ambulance

Peter: I see… what did you do to prepare for this?

Chris: Nothing realkly, it was only one line.

Peter: And did your background in the steel industry influence the way you played this character?

Chris: No, not really, as I said, I only had one line.
This was the worst interview I have ever seen, and I was just wondering if anyone could supply some more background info…

I 2-day rented so I didn’t have time to watch the interview.

One thing I noticed: the interviewer was also a character in the film. He can be seen kneading Margot’s breasts in the montage of her life as reported by the private investigator.

So my guess is the interview was probably fictional, like an inside joke or something.

This is the same guy that did the interview of Eli.
“Wildcat was written in an obsolete vernacular.”

“Wildcat. Wiiiiiild CAT. rawr.”

“I’m gonna go now.”
Thank God for Wes Anderson.

I got it, it has no captions or subtitles, what was Touchstone thinking?
