Am i crazy or is The Ruling Class a great movie that nobody knows about. Its got it all, music, intrigue, sex, comedy, and murder.
It is a great film and was actually recognized a bit in its time (I think 1972 or 3) when Peter O’Toole received an academy award nomination for it.
My favorite part was the marriage ceremony officiated by a perplexed Alastair Sim.
An underappreciated classic.
A fine and funny film, if a bit overlong. I’d love to see it again.
I remember the “high voltage messiah”-quite funny, but full of very weird British humor. Also too long, but enjoyable.
I love this movie! For those who’re interested, a Criterion DVD edition is coming out near the end of the year.
