The Saturday Evening Post

Just got back from Denver. It’s very loud there. I have to say that I do not like cities.

It’s very good to be home.

Driving up the valley to my house, I saw two slash fires (lots of smoke from each side of the valley). I chuckled to myself “perhaps we have lost phone service”

Last night my Wife and I drove 100 miles (two cars, had to get a hotel, 2 dogs, long story [my bother has disowend the family]) one way to take my Mother out for an early Mothers day dinner. My brother did not show because in the last year at 50 years old he has turned into a complete and total ass.

We had a very nice time. It’s the best seafood restaurant in Denver (so I am tolled) I can’t eat seafood so I got a nice steak,.

Fresh Fish Company.

An upscale seafood restaurant will always have some good steaks for those that can’t eat seafood.

Want a good steak? Go to a seafood restaurant. It was perfect.

I’m sad that we where not able to see my Dad while we where in Denver. He has a Cocker Spaniel that my Wife and I try to take care of. It’s very tough as the dog is morbidly obese. But my Wife and I do what we can to clip her nails and cut the mats out of her fur. It’s a big job.

My Dad would not allow us to come over to do this work and visit with him. Claimed that he had a cold. Yeah he is sick, he hasn’t been to a doctor since the Korean War. Go figure.

IMHO, My Father is so ashamed of the condition of himself, his house and that poor little dog, that he does not want his son or daughter in law to see him. (It’s been 5 months).

Oh, and my Brother? The guy that doesn’t talk to me or my Mom anymore because he fucked up and he cares more about the chip that he has on his shoulder than the rest of the family?

He lives in the house next to my Dad.

Gonna be a tough summer.

Love my Wife I do. She’s a rock. She’s a fast rock. A triatolete that is going for an IrornMan.

I love helping my Wife accomplish her goals. I listen, and I know what it is. It’s the IronMan. OK. I’ll do my best to keep her from hearting herself. That’s all I can do.

I do wish that those that really need my help like my Dad would accept my help.

Damn, I hate having to put my foot down.
