I’ve always liked this couplet from when they’re recreating an episode of Jenny McNeal.
Fry: But that’s not what people want from TV! Clever things make them feel stupid! Unexpected things make them feel scared!
Lrrr: [Interrupting, from his ship] Attention McNeal: your latest plot twist has left us scared and confused.
I always loved Zoidberg’s intricate plan to frame Fry for the bottle breakage - including replacing Fry’s standard white shirt with one reading “I Hate Bottles” and a fake confession with a “Dr Zoidberg” letterhead. Also, the ridiculously over the top sad music that plays during his sudden “WHAT HAVE I DONE” remorse moment.
Solid comedy gold, i tells ya.
