It’s the SDMB Karaoke Thread!

Try it out, it’s fun!

Just open up sound recorder in Windows, and record a few bars of yourself singing one of your favorite tunes! Save the file as a .wav then upload it to your homepage. Put a direct link to the .wav file, here in this thread, and much fun will ensue!

(Might be a good idea to keep the wav’s small in size, perhaps 2kb max, as a courtesy for those with slow dial-up connections.)

Bring your own booze and party favors! Let’s all pitch in for the pizza. Togas and clothing optional.

I hate to be a party-pooper, but as much as the wonderful internet has brought people together, I really dislike people living vicariously through the medium.

I’d rather do the real thing.

While it is true that one should be drinking when singing karaoke, I think you sounded just fine! I cringe to think of what I would sound like…

I know what I sound like. Horrible. If Ben Folds and Gordon Gano (from the Ben Folds Five, and Violent Femmes, respectively), ever had a child, and his nuts got stuck in a vice, that would be me. But I also love doing it. I try to make the presentation fun. Ask the ChiDopers. We went to a karaoke club, and it was hell. If they say I did good, it’s because they were drinking.:stuck_out_tongue:
