Yes, I do.

I’m planning on doing this on Wednesday, but you guys are scaring me to death!
Aw, it’s not that bad. Jump in!
There’s nothing at all scary about it. At worst, you end up with a first draft of a poem that you feel like crumpling into a ball and hurling over your shoulder. At best, you have something that you feel might be edited into something…
Plus the people who comment in these threads tend to be fellow poets/writers who have a strong sense of empathy, and who make a point of expressing their commentary in a supportive and constructive manner.
I can only speak for myself on this point, but - I am certain that if I forced myself to sit down and spend an hour writing poetry at least 3X per week, I would have some publishable work to my name by now. Running a contest like this makes me get off my duff and write something, which for me, is half the battle.
Here’s hoping you feel the touch of The Muse on Wednesday.
Hear, hear!
C’mon, kayT, what’s to lose? This is definitely a ‘more the merrier’ sort of dealie.
Besides, the more people who are forced to find a way to use that word, the happier I’ll be. ![]()
Why am I not reassured?
Oh, it’s not a great word, but it’s not that bad. It fits most meters and is easy to rhyme. Come on in!
I’m happy to say that I just got a poem from the brave kayT - well done!
Thanks. This was fun. I’m eager to see the others.
One last bump to take us through the weekend - just in case there are any more poets who are undecided about whether to take a leap.
Have tried and all I get is “Windows cannot find…” What am I doing wrong?
What did you try exactly? Can you describe what you did that led to that message?
:smack:
I’ve about had it with these stroke after-effects. Anybody else want 'em for awhile?
Got your poem, Becky2844 - great! That brings us to an even ten.
The Anthology Thread is up and running - I’ll add the poll in about half an hour.
