Most of the time they avoid talking about the war, but when they did talk about it, it was generally “the war.” That one was a real biggie for them.
As a matter of fact, this may well be spot-on. Even in the days when the Treaty of Versailles was being signed, French soldier Marshall Ferdinand Foch said: “This is not peace. It is an armistice for 20 years.”
Did they claim that Pearl Harbor was, in fact, bombed by the Germans?

My thought as well. Can’t tell whether you mean from me or toward me. I think you mean from. I’ve invited criticism and many have been thoughtful about providing it. I make 1 or 2 comments that indicate I may have some degree of insight, and I’m set-upon. Other members resort to ad hominem replies and I should just overlook those. And I generally, no ALWAYS do. I’m not “fitting-in”, here, I’m advised. I’m not trying to; is that ok with everyone ?

How would you know about my needs ? It’s my shoulder. And it’s more than a chip. One of my traits is a nearly complete dislike for authority. Some of us go along. Some of us don’t. I don’t. But thanks for the heads-up.

I apologize to all. “Bite me” was crude and pointless. I was a bit confused, I think. More than a bit. I have a problem with authority which is more personal than it needs to be and lacks definition and clarity. As I slip into senile dementia I will try to be aware of these facts. The body and mind grow old and tired. Forgive my lapses, but don’t ignore them on my account.
