The Secret Life Of PLants

Perhaps you’ve heard of it; it’s a book by Perter Tompkins and C. Bird. IT’s about how plants are supposedly sentient and can feel and are empathetic and such. I have not read it, but it’s right here in my pocket and I am wondering if anyone out here in la la land knows whether or not this stuff is true. It’s based on research conducted all across the world, and is purported to be very ground-breaking and startling about what we really know about plants. The only thing is that it reads like a novel, and the girl who gave it to me is not sure it’s real and all that, but I dunno, I am trying to get some of my own research to figger out what the deal is with this issue. If anyone has read this, and can dole out some insight, that would be great. Thanks a bunch, and go freegan!

I’ve always heard that it’s a load of pseudo-scientific bullcrap. While that’s probably true, I can’t agree with it because I’ve never read the book. However, I can recommend that you read Carl Sagan’s Baloney Detection Kit to prepare yourself for making an educated decision about the validity of the book.
