The show "Intervention"

How many episodes do you think they shot before the show began broadcasting and potential subjects would know that “they would soon be facing an intervention”? It seems to me that, after the airing of the first show, they wouldn’t be able to tape any more because the jig would be up. Does anyone know anything about these types of “ambush” reality shows?

I don’t think meth addicts spend a lot of time watching A&E. If NBC can still get a couple of dozen men to show up intending to diddle underage girls and boys after a couple of years of top rated shows about it, I see no reason why “Intervention” wouldn’t be on the up and up.

It’s a great show, BTW.

I watch it, too. I can totally believe they don’t know what’s up, especially because - just guessing - they would do the show for money. They do get paid, or offered pay, for the “documentary” they’re filming, right? That would be a reason they would be “enticed,” so they could buy more drugs.

It’s kinda depressing though, especially when the rehab fails. I DVR it, and I can only handle about one every two weeks.
