I waffled on whether we were going for most popular or least popular, so I made up three different sets of answers before changing my mind. I think my woodstock version might’ve challenged yours - this is how I remember it:
- Caitlyn
- The Springfield Retirement Castle
- “Excellent”
- Terri
- Yao Ming
- Karl Weidergott
- The Very Tall Man
- Miss Hoover
- Tubb
- “Here Comes the Metric System!”

depending on how you define entrants, it could mean each duplicated answer scored two points, as there are 50 entrants. Communism feud!
Damn, so close!
Well, I have finished 5th, 1st, and 2nd in the last three games I have played, so I wanna be on Kid_A’s team when he auditions for the show.
Wait, how did the scoring work again? Do you not get any points for non-duplicated answers? (I thought they would be worth 100).
OK, I think I see the issue. I didn’t explicitly mention that it is multiplied by the number of duplicate answers. The leap of logic happened in my head but isn’t specifically stated in the rules. So, with 50 entrants and 10 of them duplicating an answer, we would have:
100/50 = 2 * 10 = 20 points earned for that answer. This is pretty much how the scoring is calculated.
And yes, zero points for non-duplicated answers.
so convoluted! -
I just discounted any answer with a frequency of 1, then double all the other numbers.
:smack: Oh, so we were supposed to come up with the most popular answers, not the least popular! :smack:
Shouldn’t Liz Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor be combined?
