I agree, but I felt like it was the adult humor was additional to the children appeal, not the other way around. However, you may be completely right. I was younger when I first saw the Warner Brothers cartoons (and I am talking Bugs Bunny and the like), just like Justin Bailey when he first watched the Simpsons, so I may simply have thought they were meant primarily for kids, since they were on during normal expected children’s cartoon hours.
I still like the Simpsons. I never stopped liking the Simpsons. Every episode that is linked to as being a bad episode I like. The Spider-pig bit in the trailer is fucking hilarious.
